Scouts and Merit Badges

SCOUTS AND MERIT BADGES

Note that a scout should  not start a merit badge without first meeting with a counselor. If they do the activities pre meeting will not count. In special circumstances the MB counselor may accept some previous activities. For example a scout goes to a national park and realizes that is a requirement for a MB. The scout should request a MB counselor PROMPTLY  after completing the activity to request the time waiver. Any scout who does summer or spring break activities needs to request a counselor immediately upon returning to the troop for a time waiver.
