Next Troop Meeting - Sunday, March 15, 2015

Our next meeting is Sunday, March 15.  Please note that there is no meeting on Sunday, March 8.

On Sunday, March 15, Troop 838 will hold an open house for sons of members of the Saint Rita Community.  Please make sure that you attend this meeting and are in your full Class A uniform.

For summer camp, 20 scouts have signed up already.  Of those, 15 scouts have expired Med Form Part C.

APB - Missing Ice Chests and Tents

Please be on the lookout for any Troop 838 Ice Chests and Tents. At this point, they are considered very dangerous (if they have not been cleaned, dried and stored properly). Engage using the appropriate safety precautions, please!

Three New Eagle Scouts - February 19, 2015

Kayaking and Whitewater Merit Badge Opportunities - May 9th and June 6th

Complete the Kayaking and Whitewater Merit Badges And Kayaking BSA Patch
With One Day On The Water
Two Opportunities - May 9th and June 6th

The morning will be spent on Lake Ray Hubbard completing the BSA Kayaking Merit Badge and the Kayaking BSA Patch requirements on flat water. We will meet at Paddle Point in Rowlett (6800 Miller Road, Rowlett) at 8:45 a.m. for a sharp start time at 9:00 am. We will take a 1.50 hour break to eat lunch and travel to the Dallas Wave on the Trinity River, just West of downtown Dallas. We will complete the remaining BSA Whitewater Merit Badge requirements at the Dallas Wave and return home from there.
