Please arrive at St. Rita for check in around 4pm for check in. We will get everyone checked in, load the bus, and try and leave no later than 5:30.

Troop 838 - Newest Eagle Scouts

We are proud to announce the troop's newest Eagles: Ali Khambati, Matthew McAuliffe, and Sam Olden. They represent the troop's 5th, 6th, and 7th Eagle Scouts of 2016!

Summer Merit Badge Program

Once again, Troop 838 has arranged for a series of summer merit badge sessions.  The classes will be in Sweeney Hall and adjoining rooms from 8:30-12:30 (registration from 8:00-8:30) on the Saturdays of 6/11, 6/18, and 6/25. The cost is $15 per MB. The event is sponsored by the Makade Aki Chapter of the Order of Arrow. Concessions will be offered. All proceeds to benefit Makade Aki.

Saturdays of June 11th, 18th and 25th Times: 8:00 am - 2:15 pm
Location Check In - Sweeney Hall on the St. Rita Campus (Harvest Hill Road at Inwood Road)

Cost - $15 (CASH ONLY) per Merit Badge & TFC Concessions Sold by Makade Aki
Pre-register by sending your full name, Troop Number, and requested Merit Badge(s) or TFC with corresponding date for each to ginocischke@sbcglobal.net

Scouts are expected to work on the Merit Badge requirements in advance of coming to class, so that they are fully prepared to participate. Mere attendance will not satisfy the requirements to receive Merit Badge credit.

Scouts interested in beginning the Personal Management or Family Life Merit Badges, which have 13 week tracking requirements, should begin those tracking requirements right away to be completed by the end of the Summer Merit Badge Program.

6 EAGLE-REQUIRED Badges: Camping, Citizenship in the Community, Communication,Family Life, Personal Fitness, Personal Management

5 ELECTIVE Badges: Collections, Digital Technology, Inventing, Programming, Salesmanship

First Fall Troop Meeting - Sunday, August 14

The Troop does not meet on Sundays during the Summer.  Please mark your calendars for our first Troop meeting of the Fall semester - August 14, 2016 at 7pm in Sweeney Hall.

Greenbar Retreat - August 13-14, 2016

Greenbar, mark you calendars now for the upcoming Fall Greenbar Retreat.  The retreat will take place Saturday August 13th- Sunday August 14th.  We will leave St. Rita's at 9:00am on the 13th and return around noon on the 14th.  More information to follow.
